The Swiss Football League postponed the 24th round of the championship, which was to be held this weekend. Thus, the PFL complied with the decision of the Swiss Federal Council, which banned mass events of more than a thousand people due to the threat of coronavirus.

The ban on such events will remain in force at least until March 15 this year.. New tour date is still unknown.

Due to the fact that the current season in European football is limited to Euro 2020, ShFL will consider the option of holding matches without spectators. At the same time, the organization emphasized that “the economic interests of clubs should also be taken into account”.

In neighboring Italy, a number of matches were canceled due to an outbreak of coronavirus, and some games will be played without spectators. These included one of the main championship matches - Juventus - Inter.
