Maurice, the younger brother of the main goalkeeper of Spal Alfred Gomis, also belonged to the club from Ferrara, and for Syracuse acted on loan.

Gomis, Jr. was a pupil of Torino, but never played for the first team. In Spas, Maurice took over as a free agent in the summer of 2018.
