Jose Mourinho believes that coaches should now be called coaches, not managers, and assured that he will no longer talk about the transfer disappointments of this summer.
In the first round of the Premier League, Manchester United scored a difficult victory over Leicester (2-1).
"We must get used to playing in the Premier League against teams of the same level as us. Forget about names, history, T-shirts. Every club has a good team, "said Mourinho Sky Sports.
In the summer, the "red devils" tried to sign a central defender. Among the goals were Toby Alderweireld, Harry Maguire, Yerri Mina and Jerome Boateng.
"I had plans for many months, but now the Premier League has begun, the transfer window is closed. I was in a situation where I did not expect to be.
But I think this is the last time I say this. Everything is finished, the window is closed, there is no more talk about it ".
He also noted the changing role of coaches in English football.
"Football is changing. Perhaps, football managers should be called more head coaches. We have multifunctional coaching staffs. And I think we are more head coaches than managers ".
In the next round of the Premier League, Manchester United will play against Brighton on August 19.
