The Italian Football Federation decided that the Chievo leadership did not commit illegal actions, so the team retained a place in Serie A.

The prosecutor claimed that the management of Chievo had reported inaccurate information about the cost of his transfers and demanded to remove 15 points from the "flying donkeys" in the 2017/2018 season, which would lead to the departure of the Verona team from Serie A. However, Chievo provided documents, from which it followed that errors in the prosecution's calculations crept in, which led to incorrect results. The leadership of the federation found the arguments of the football club more convincing and justified Chievo.

Previously, the status of the Serie A team nearly lost Parma, accused of the fact that her player Emanuele Kalayo had arranged with friends from Spice to win the Parmesan, which secured them a ticket to Serie A. As a result, Parma remained in Serie A, will start the championship with a "minus 5" points, and Kalayo is disqualified for 2 years.
