ULP does not understand why Poltava wants to withdraw from the competition

The Ukrainian Premier League has issued an official message regarding the petition of FC Poltava to withdraw it from the tournament.

As it became known earlier, the football club Poltava sent a letter to the ULP with a request to withdraw it from the competition.

This information was confirmed in the press center of the Premier League, having issued the following statement:.

"ULL received a letter from FC Poltava with the signature of the President of the club Leonid Sobolev on the removal from the competition of the ULP in connection with the inability to bring the Lokomotiv stadium in line with the requirements of the regulatory documents of the ULF and FFU".

"At the General Meeting of Participants of the ULP, held on June 5, 2018, FC Poltava was admitted to the UPL participants and received a certificate for participation in the ULP competitions. As indicated in the certificate, the club declared as the main home stadium the Vorskla stadium for them. Butovsky ".

"Based on this, the ULP, during the draw of the calendar-calendar for the 2018/1919 season, took steps to set up FC Poltava and FC Vorskla on the calendar to ensure the safe and unhindered holding of home matches of both clubs at the Vorskla stadium. Butovsky ".

"Given the above, for the Ukrainian Premier League is not entirely understand the position of FC Poltava about refusing to participate in the ULL competitions because of the unavailability of the stadium Lokomotiv".

"In this regard, the Ukrainian Premier League appealed to Poltava FC with a request to clarify the club's position on participating in the ULP competitions in the season 2018/19".



"In the event of the refusal of FC Poltava from participating in the UPL competitions, the Ukrainian Premier League will act in accordance with its Charter and in the manner provided by the current Regulations of the competition," the statement said on the official website of the ULP.

Earlier, the press service of Chernomorets said that it was interested in returning to the Premier League in the event that Poltava withdrew from the competition and this scenario would be possible.
