Ex-midfielder Chelsea Frank Lampard can become coach of Ipswich.

Ipswich owner Marcus Evans met with Lampard to discuss Frank's possible appointment as team coach, TWTD assures.

The publication notes that Frank made a positive impression during this conversation.

The current trainer "tractor drivers" Mick McCarthy will leave the club in the summer.

If Lampard is appointed, he will most likely take on as an assistant experienced assistant.

However, the priority option for Ipswich is the Saint-Mirren trainer Jack Ross, and Lampard is the second option.
