The Arbitration Chamber of the UEFA Instance was punished by the Greek Panathinaikos for violating the rules of the financial fair play.
UEFA eliminated Panathinaikos from the next UEFA tournament, where the club will break through for the next three seasons (that is, 2018/19, 2019/20 and 2020/21).
This decision was made in connection with the fact that the Greek club failed to prove that it repaid all late payments or entered into agreements with creditors for such payments, found by September 30, 2017.
In addition, Panathinaikos must pay a fine of 100 thousand euros.
In the current season, Panathinaikos takes seventh place in the Greek Super League standings for two rounds before the end of the season.
