El-Hadji Diouf plans in the future to occupy the main state post of his homeland.

During his playing career, Diouf was remembered for his uneasy character. He played for a number of clubs in Europe, among which stands out Liverpool. There, however, El-Hadji did not win much success, failing to break through into the foundation.

Last year, Diouf expressed a desire to become a member of parliament in Senegal, but now his plans have become even more ambitious. El-Haji admitted that he was inspired by the example of former Milan footballer George Weah, who became president of Liberia.

"I care about myself and my family. For many years I've been thinking about football, but now I have a new career - politics career, "Diouf said..

"I decided to take up politics, because people expect me to change in the country. I'm ready for this, I want to fight for our youth ".

"My future is defined. In the next two years I will be absorbed in politics, because I know that in this way I can change a lot in football. I have a lot of passion for politics.

And I have people in Senegal who teach me. I chose this path, because so many Senegalese will be able to hear me ".

"I studied at the highest level of coaching courses, but decided to leave it because there were plans for a better".

Diouf hopes that in his homeland he will be much more popular than in the same England where Neil Warnock once called him a "sewer rat," and Liverpool's legends Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher were not enthusiastic about their teammate.
