The football club Marseille began an internal investigation after defender Patrice Evra hit a fan.
Marcel in the 4th round of the Europa League lost to Vitoria Guimaraes 0: 1, but this remained in the shadow of the incident that happened before the match. During the pre-match warm-up, Patrice Evra quarreled about something with the fan and hit him. For this, the Frenchman received a red card before the match began, becoming the first player to succeed in the Europa League.
"Football Club Olympique Marseille noted the conflict between the fan and Patrice Evra during the warm-up of players before the match against Vitoria. We begin an internal investigation to establish the culprit. In any case, a professional football player should remain calm, despite all the provocations and whatever the insults, "says the club statement.
"But at the same time, the club can also only condemn the pseudo-fan who, instead of supporting the team, scatters her football player".
Evra played 10 games in all tournaments this season, including 4 of 11 games in the French Championship.
