The owner of Sunderland, Alice Short, admitted that he is currently negotiating with several potential buyers and this complicates the process of appointing a coach.

Ellis Short does not hide his desire to sell his 100% stake in the club. Earlier it was reported that he was at an advanced stage of negotiations with an unnamed German consortium.

However, Short is ready to put aside negotiations on the sale of the club and begin preparations for the new season, if it does not happen to close the deal to "a certain point in time," reports Sky Sports.

"Since the end of the season, we are trying to find a new coach. But more recently, those who want to acquire a club have interfered in the process, "Short said..

Chief until recently, the candidate for the coaching chair Sunderland, Derek McInnes, decided to stay in Aberdeen.
