Former president of the Zagreb Dynamo Zdravko Mamich was in the dock in Croatia. He is accused of embezzling more than 15 million euros and evading payment of 1.5 million euros of taxes.

Modric was in the Dinamo Z system from the age of 14 until he moved to Tottenham in 2008. It is assumed that Zdravko appropriated about half his money from this transfer.

"I think Dynamo received from 21 to 23 million euros for my transfer to Tottenham. Some of this money relied on me, according to the previously signed contract - 50% ".

However, Luka himself did not get at all 50%.

"According to our agreement, payments were received by Mamich. I withdrew money from the bank and gave it to Zoran (Zdravko's brother) or Mario (the son of the ex-president) ".

In the near future, another player of the Croatian national team must testify in court - Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren.
