Goalkeeper Juventus Gianluigi Buffon admitted that several times in his career had a chance to move to England, but did not want this.

Buffon moved to Juventus from Parma in 2001. For 16 years in the Old Lady Gianluigi won 8 championships in Italy, 3 Cups and 5 Super Cups of the country.

"There were 3 cases when English clubs made a proposal for me. 2 of them happened when I was in favor of Parma. I wanted to get Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger. The third was Man City, when new owners appeared in this club, "Buffon told The Mirror.

"There were many reasons why these transitions did not take place.

Premier League - the tournament is special, but I always wanted to stay loyal to Juventus. I was successful here and would not change anything ".

Earlier, Buffon confirmed the interest of Arsenal in an interview with BT Sport: "I remember I was 20 years old in 1998 and I had dinner with Arsen Wenger".

The only serious trophy at the club level, which did not submit to the Buffon, remains the Champions League. On Saturday, Gianluigi will play in his third final of this tournament - this time against Real Madrid.
