AEK became the winner of the playoffs of the Greek Super League.

In the Greek championship teams that took places from 2 to 5 on the results of the regular season play a kind of play-off, where each player meets twice, and the winner gets a ticket to the qualification of the Champions League.

Three other teams, in turn, will represent Greece in the Europa League.

Before the last round of the playoffs, out of the struggle for Ligochempion's place was dropped only Panionios, who was facing a match against the leading AEK. In another match PAOK and Panathinaikos took part.

Before the start of the matches it became known that Panathinaikos was awarded a technical defeat in the first match with PAOK. This meant that the team of Evgeny Shakhov needed to win in the last round to guarantee himself getting into the Champions League. However, the club from Thessaloniki did not cope with Panathinaikos, who could hope for a misfire AEK.

But the team of Dmitry Chygrynskiy did not give a chance to the opponents and even in a difficult match, but still managed to beat Panionios and qualify for the Champions League. AEK will not be seeded in the draw, because it is a potential rival Dynamo Kyiv.
