The head of the Association of Referee of Italy Marcelo Nikki confirmed that the video replay will be used in the Serie A matches of the next season.

Testing the system of video replay was to take place in the final of the Cup of Italy, where will meet Juventus and Lazio. Both teams agreed to the initiative, but the proposal needed confirmation from FIFA and the International Council of Football Associations (IFAB).

The president of the Association of Italian Referees confirmed that in the final match of the Cup the technology will not be used, but it will be used already in the next season.

"The news is as follows: We start using video replay from the first day of the next season. We are waiting for approval from IFAB. But there will be no exact technology for the final of the Italian Cup. "- said Nikki.

The final match for the Italian Cup between Juventus and Lazio takes place on June 2.
