The ex-boxer caught at doping ended his career and moved to politics

Finnish heavyweight Robert Helenius (32-5, 21 KOs) decided to finally complete the professional career of the boxer, IS reports. FI.

It is noted that the 41-year-old boxer, nicknamed the " He won the election, gaining 149 votes, and got a place in the municipal council of SIPOO and the regional council of the province of East Uusimaa.

As you know, the Finnish boxer made his debut on the Prof-Ring in May 2008. In total, the fighter spent 37 battles, 21 of which he completed early victories. Also on his track record are five defeats from Joan Duap, Dillian White, Gerald Washington, Deontheus Wilder and Anthony Joshua.



Recall that Robert Helenius spent his last battle in August 2023, where he lost by knockout in the seventh round Anthony Joshua.

After the battle, the Finnish boxer failed a doping test - the forbidden drug Klomifen was discovered in his body, for which he received a disqualification for two years. His removal from boxing was supposed to be completed in September of this year.
