Interim WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker shared his expectations for his fight against IBF title holder Daniel Dubois.
According to the New Zealand boxer, in the upcoming fight he will need to rely on speed and experience to help him win.
“I think a lot of people are giving me the advantage in this fight, but a lot of people are also saying that Dubois is the favorite. Considering the way Daniel fights and the power he has, of course I can see why he's the favorite.
I'm guessing this fight will go like this: I'll be too fast for him and too experienced. I know he will pressure me, chase me and drop power bombs. Dubois hits and combines a lot, and all these strikes are power.
If you compare this fight with the fights against Wilder and Zhilei, then I need to improve my boxing because Dubois offers a completely different energy and durability, he throws a series of punches. I think Dubois will try to knock me out in the first three or four rounds. I just have to work smart, pick my shots and throw them at the end of the rounds,” Parker told the BoxHard Podcast..
The Dubois-Parker fight will take place on February 22 in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
Previously, the promoter doubted Dubois' victory over Parker.
