Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) admitted that he is trying to learn a lot during joint training with Alexander Usik (24-0, 15 KOs). The Briton noted that he likes to compete with an opponent who beat him twice in the past.
Joshua stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel MF PRO and Radio Rahim. According to the heavyweight from Watford, he emphasized that he, like Usik, loves to compete and compete with the best in boxing, so the common work only adds energy to former rivals.
" He beat me twice, didn't he I'd look stupid if I said I was better than him. I might win the fight in the future, but right now it's better. We have to give him credit. In boxing we compete with each other. And I really like to compete.
So we just focus our energy on training and helping each other in the gym. Just being in that environment, two hard-working guys who are very competitive, feed off each other's energy,"
Let us note that last month Anthony visited Ukraine at the invitation of Alexander. In our country, Joshua attended a boxing evening where Olympic champion Alexander Khizhnyak (1-0, 1 KO) made his debut in the professional ring.. Also, the Briton’s act caused a stir in the media..
