The national team of Ukraine will play a control match against Germany. The meeting is scheduled for June 12, 2023. A friendly match with the Ukrainian team was announced by the German Football Union on its social networks. The venue for the duel between the national teams of Germany and Ukraine will be Bremen. This will be the 1000th match in the history of the German national team. Sparring will be charitable. The German Football Union plans to donate the collected funds to support Ukrainians who suffered from Russian military aggression. For the Blue-and-Yellows, the sparring with the Germans will be a rehearsal before the Euro 2024 qualifiers with North Macedonia (June 16) and Malta (June 19). At the start of the qualification for Euro 2024, Ruslan Rotan's wards lost to England on March 26 at Wembley Stadium in London.
