The Ukrainian national football team will continue to play in the qualification of the European Championship-2024, despite the decree of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on the ban on Ukrainian athletes to compete in tournaments with Russians and Belarusians.

Pavelko also published the text of a letter from the Ministry of Sports, which mentions the UEFA decision of May 27, 2022 on the separation of football teams from Ukraine and Belarus during the draw of competitions. Thus, the teams of the two countries will not play each other in the qualification of the European Championship.

Ukraine is in Group C with England.

Italy, Malta and North Macedonia. In the first qualifying match, the team lost to England at Wembley with a score of 0:2. Belarus plays in Group I, while the Russian team was excluded from the qualifying tournament.

The European Championship will be held from June 14 to July 14, 2024 in ten German cities.
