Ukrainian Vasily Mikhailov won the gold of the European Championship in freestyle wrestling, which takes place in Croatian Zagreb.

In the final fight in the weight category up to 79 kg, 27-year-old Mikhailov defeated the reigning European champion Georgis Kugiumtsidis from Greece - 3:1.
