Zorya defeated Dnipro-1 in the match of the 21st round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The match at the Lobanovsky stadium in Kyiv ended with the score 2:1. The Lugansk club could have taken the lead already in the 8th minute, but Eduardo Guerrero's goal after watching the video replay was canceled due to offside. However, after the break, Patrick Van Leeuwen's team managed to score twice. Nazariy Rusin opened the scoring in the 55th minute, and Guerrero doubled it three minutes later. Wards Oleksandr Kucher answered with only one goal in stoppage time.
At the 90+3rd minute, Artem Dovbik scored after Oleksandr Pikhalenok's pass, but this did not save the Dnipro team from defeat. Zorya (43 points) remained in third place at the UPL and broke away from fourth-placed Dynamo by a distance of three points. Dnipro-1 (45 points) occupies the second line and is now inferior to the championship leader - Shakhtar - 4 points. In the next round, the Luhansk team will play with Kolos on April 21, and the Dnipro team will play with Rukh on April 24.
