Ukrainian gymnast Ilya Kovtun won a bronze medal in the individual all-around at the European Championships, which takes place in the Turkish city of Antalya.

The 19-year-old Ukrainian qualified for the final with the best result, but failed to stay at the top. Kovtun managed to score 83.032 points and take third place, which brought him a bronze medal..

Turkey's Adem Asil won with 84.965 points and Briton Jake Jarman came in second with 83.463..

It is worth noting that Kovtun has four more finals ahead at the current European Championship - in free exercises, on horseback, on parallel bars and crossbar.

In the individual all-around, the Ukrainian won his second bronze after a similar result at Euro 2021. Kovtun became the third Ukrainian gymnast in history, after Oleg Vernyaev and Igor Korobchinsky, who has more than one European Championship medal in this discipline.
