The Basketball Federation of Ukraine (FBU) at the meeting of the Executive Committee appointed new head coaches of the men's and women's national teams.

This was reported by the press service of the FBU.

Vitaliy Stepanovsky became the new coach of the men's national team of Ukraine. The 41-year-old specialist has been working in Romania for the past year and a half, where he coached Craiova.

Also, Stepanovsky twice became the champion of Ukraine with Khimik, won silver and bronze of the Superleague, and won the silver of the Universiade-2019 with the student team of Ukraine.

The coach was a member of the coaching staff of Ainars Bagatskis in the selection for EuroBasket 2021 and World Cup 2023. Bagatskis previously coached the Ukrainian national team.

The new head coach of the women's team was Evgeny Murzin, who replaced Srdjan Radulovic. In the past, Murzin was an assistant to Radulovich and a consultant for the women's team, and also led the Ukrainian women's U-20 team.
