The semi-final match of the Netherlands Cup between Feyenoord Rotterdam and Ajax Amsterdam was remembered for the shameful act of one of the fans of the hosts. At the 62nd minute of the meeting, with the score 1:2 in favor of the Amsterdam team, Ajax midfielder Davy Klassen was smashed in the head with an object thrown from the stands. Most likely it was a lighter.

Klassen immediately grabbed his head, from which blood began to drain. The referee decided to suspend the fight, and the teams went to the under-tribune room.

Game resumed after 30 minutes. Klassen also returned to the field, but was soon replaced. Until the final whistle, the clubs did not score again - Ajax became the finalist of the tournament. Let's add that it was Klassen who became the author of the winning goal in the 51st minute - even before his head was broken.
