Shakhtar announced on its official website that a new agreement has been signed with midfielder Heorhiy Sudakov.

The new contract is valid until June 30, 2028. The previous agreement was concluded in February 2022, it was calculated until December 31, 2026.

Recall that a native of Bryanka, Luhansk region, has been in Shakhtar's system since 2017, and he himself is a graduate of Metalist Kharkiv.

For the first team, the 20-year-old attacking midfielder played 56 matches, scored 8 goals and made 10 assists.. Together with Shakhtar, Sudakov won the Ukrainian Super Cup in 2021.

He also has three matches in the national team of Ukraine.

Shakhtar finished third in the Champions League group this season, and reached the 1/8 finals of the tournament in the playoffs of the Europa League.

The Donetsk team are leading in the standings of the Ukrainian championship, ahead of Dnipro-1 by one point.
