Spain and Portugal have found a replacement for Ukraine in the 2030 World Cup bid and that is Morocco. It is reported by FootballHub with reference to the well-known Spanish resource AS. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) are working on the option of including Morocco in the 2030 World Cup bid.
This issue will be carefully studied in the coming weeks, and all because of the criminal case involving UAF President Andrei Pavelko on embezzlement of funds for the construction of a plant for artificial football fields and possible sanctions. RFEF does not want this image scandal related to the suspected corruption of Andriy Pavelko to affect the chances of approval of the application for hosting the 2030 World Cup, so they decided to leave Ukraine on the sidelines until the situation improves and everything is cleared up. Because of what they are now working on a variant from Morocco.
