The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine will hold an extraordinary General Assembly on February 3 to discuss a plan for further action against the backdrop of a possible return of Russians and Belarusians to international sports.

This was reported by the press service of the organization.

The main issue at the meeting will be consultations with national sports federations and subjects of the Olympic movement regarding a possible boycott of the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Such a step is possible if the Russians and Belarusians return to international competitions before the end of the war in Ukraine..

The meeting is scheduled to start at 11:00.

Recall, the International Olympic Committee called for the admission of representatives of the Russian Federation and Belarus to international competitions in a neutral status, provided that they were not seen actively supporting the war in Ukraine and comply with doping laws..

At the same time, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba and many other representatives of the government and Ukrainian sports criticized the IOC..
