On Saturday, March 12, on the penultimate day of the 2022 Paralympic Games in Beijing, the Ukrainian team managed to win three more medals.

Ukrainians became winners in two ski races. Dmitry Suyarko became a bronze medalist in the middle distance (12.5 km) freestyle race among athletes with visual impairments, and Ukrainian athletes won two more medals in the middle distance standing freestyle race. Alexandra Kononova won gold and Irina Bui won bronze.

In the medal standings, Ukraine is in second place after eight competitive days, second only to China.. In total, Ukraine has 28 medals of the 2022 Paralympics (ten gold, 10 silver and eight bronze medals).

Recall that four years ago in Pyeongchang, Ukrainians won 22 medals - 7 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze.. The Ukrainian team took the sixth team place in the medal standings.
