Seven-time Wimbledon champion Serena Williams lost to German representative Angelik Kerber in the final of the current tournament.

The match lasted 1 hour and 5 minutes and ended with a score of 6: 3, 6: 3 in favor of the German.

Since the start of the meeting, Kerber managed to break, but in the fourth game Williams equalized and went 3: 2, after which Anglelik won four games in a row.

Thus, Kerber became the third tennis player from Germany and the first for the last 22 years, which managed to win at this tournament.
