Ukrainian gymnast Pyotr Pakhnyuk received a "bronze" medal at the first stage of the World Cup, which was held in the US.

Pakhnyuk, who had already changed his citizenship twice, scored 83.064 points in the all-around event, which eventually allowed him to take the third line.

As a consequence, he lost only to the British James Hall (83,297) and American Julia Moldauer (85,964). Earlier Pakhnyuk spoke for Azerbaijan (from 2014 to 2016).

It should be noted that it was Moldauer who won the last year's World Cup.

It should be noted that at the last stage of these competitions Ukraine also managed to get a medal - "silver" in the asset of Oleg Vernyaev, who is now recovering from surgery.

The next stage of the World Cup will be held March 17-18, 2018 in the German city of Stuttgart.
