Legendary Swiss Roger Federer from Monday, February 19, will return to the top of world tennis.

Thanks to the successful performance at the tournament in Rotterdam, the tennis player will lead the world rating of the APR. So, Federer reached the semifinals of this tournament, which already guarantees him the status of the first racket of the world. Also, Roger will update several records at once.

He will become the oldest first racket in the world (36 years and 6 months) and will surpass the achievement of American Andre Agassi, who led the ATP rating at the age of 33 and 4 months.

In addition, he will rise for the first time since November 4, 2012 on the first line of the world rating. The break in leadership, 5 years and 106 days, is the longest in history.

"Becoming No. 1 is one of, if not the most important, achievement in our sport.

Sometimes in the beginning of a career you just get there, because suddenly you start to play well. Then you are already seriously fighting someone who is also worthy of this place. And when you are older, for this you probably need twice as much work. So this is perhaps the biggest achievement in my career - to be the first at almost 37 years old. This is a dream. I can not believe it, "- commented Federer.

Note that in his career Federer three times climbed to the top of the ATR rating.
