Dr. Pesola's group conducted a cluster-randomized study, randomly dividing 133 participants with young children into 2 groups: 71 in the active group and 62 in the control group.
Participants of the intervention group were invited to listen to a 30-minute lecture on the risks of a sedentary lifestyle, the problems of modern civilization and strategies to combat hypodynamia. Then each participant was personally consulted by specialists, discussing individual ways of overcoming hypodynamia in everyday life and at work.
