The level of peace in the world has slightly improved for the first time since the outbreak of the war in Syria, according to the annual "Global Peace Index" published by the London Institute of Economics and Peace.

The most benevolent and peaceful region is Europe.

The ten most peaceful countries included Iceland, New Zealand, Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Canada, Switzerland and Ireland.

The United States has fallen in the ranking by 11 positions since last year, thus being on the 114th place with an "average" level of peace.

Russia for the second consecutive year ranks 151st in this rating with a "very low" level of peace.

Ukraine was on the 154th place, having risen by two points compared to last year.

Close the list of 163 countries of Southern Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, which remains at 163rd line for the second consecutive year.
