A citizen who was declared unfit for military service by the district military medical commission turned to specialists for advice.. He noted that the conclusion submitted to the regular IHC had not yet returned with its resolution, and asked whether the document remained valid after one and a half years from the date of its issuance.

Lawyer Vladislav Derii, commenting on the situation, noted that the validity period of IHC decisions depends on the type of conclusion adopted. “Regarding the validity period of the decision of the IHC, only conclusions on suitability are valid for 12 months, conclusions on unsuitability are indefinite,” he explained.

As for the further actions of the person liable for military service, he should contact the regular military medical commission on this issue.

“You need to contact the regular VVK and ask at what stage of approval your illness certificate is,” noted Vladislav Derii.

Lawyer Yuri Ayvazyan added that the citizen “should have done this a long time ago, since a year and a half is quite a long time even for a regular IHC.”.
