The experience of Karabakh for the victory of Ukraine: the main thing is to believe in justice and one’s own strength

I come from the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. Fate turned out in such a way that the consequences of the war that I experienced as a child today again manifest themselves in my professional activities - already as a journalist in Ukraine. The events that are now taking place here are in many ways reminiscent of what the Azerbaijani people went through more than thirty years ago.

The following is the text in the original language. Azerbaijan, which has been at the warehouse of the Radyansky Union for 70 years, already marks the fifth day of Victory Day - a symbol of the renewed territorial integrity of the state. For the post-graduate expanse, this is a rare example of a successful end to a protracted conflict, which could become an important signal for other countries that are still struggling with separatism and external aggression. Among them is Ukraine, which continues the struggle for power sovereignty.

Over the course of 30 years after the collapse of the Soviet Socialist Republic, the government of Virmenia more than once witnessed the negotiation process regarding Karabakh, while the Kremlin saved its input into the situation in the region through its military presence. During this period, the Azerbaijani population became aware of numerous tragedies, including mass killings of civilians. These early events of the 1990s, including the Khojaly tragedy of 26 February 1992, have lost a deep trace in the collective memory of Azerbaijanis. Many of these facts today are confirmed by evidence given at the trial in Baku by representatives of illegal Karabakh armored companies.

On June 27, 2020, following the stagnant situation on the line, Azerbaijan launched a military operation at the line. Over the course of 44 days, control over a significant part of the occupied territories was restored, and the 8th leaf fall of 2020 in Shushi became a symbolic turning point. Azerbaijan has declared its readiness to guarantee the rights of the citizens of the Vermen nationality, which were lost in Karabakh, for the purpose of integration into the Azerbaijani legal and social field. However, the workers of the unknown structures continued to repair the operations, defending the military cover of the Russian contingent.

In the spring of 2023, Azerbaijan carried out a 23-year anti-terrorist operation, after taking control of Khankendi and surrounding areas. All key representatives of the separatist government were suppressed. The non-Russian peacekeeping contingent will be completely withdrawn from the territory of Azerbaijan.

Today Azerbaijan is in the folding phase of post-conflict renewal. The greatest demand is lost on turnover - a process that significantly affects the return of residents to their homes and the renewal of economic activity.. Despite the significant resources that are directly transferred by the state and international partners, thousands of hectares of land will be lost to unsafe.

Ukraine, which is also going through the stage of returning the occupied territories and renovating life on them, is important to watch out for the Azerbaijani evidence.

Vidbudova's work, the process of returning people home, psychological reintegration and the end of the last ten decades of occupation - this is a great cry for both peoples.

Today, Karabakh is actively concerned with the reconstruction of infrastructure, daily life and the return of residents, although this process will require time and significant resources. Prote smut - the faith of marriage in justice and power. This very faith helped Azerbaijan to go through the thirty-year march to the restoration of sovereignty. And this, together with the support of international partners, is the key to Ukraine’s future victory.
