There was a fire in the village of Ivanovka in the Nikolaev region, which could have turned into a tragedy if not for the courage of 16-year-old Dmitry. The teenager, risking his own life, carried his younger brother Vladislav, who is only eight years old, out of the burning house. This was reported by the State Emergency Service. Mother of six children, Lyudmila Amalskaya, was in the yard when she smelled smoke.

Her children were still sleeping. The youngest son Vladik was in the greatest danger - thick smoke quickly filled the house, and it was almost impossible to find him. Lyudmila tried to save her son, but could not due to smoke. Hearing his mother's scream, 16-year-old Dmitry without hesitation rushed into the burning house. Blindly, he found his brother and carried him out in his arms.. Despite the thick smoke and danger, he handed the Lord over to his mother, who immediately provided him with first aid.

But the brave guy didn’t stop there.. Together with his other brother Kirill, he tried to put out the fire before rescuers arrived to save the house for a large family. Vladislav received burns and is now undergoing treatment in Nikolaev. He underwent surgery, but doctors hope for his speedy recovery.. Dmitry speaks warmly about his brother.

" I feel very sorry for him, but I believe that he will recover quickly and we will be together again,” the teenager said.

The rescuers celebrated Dmitry's courage by donating valuable items to the family and passing on goodies to the children.. The family is temporarily staying with relatives, and neighbors are helping them rebuild the house after the fire..
