Moldova will resume regular passenger and charter flights from June 30, simultaneously with the launch of international rail and bus services. The decision was made by the emergency commission at a meeting on May 15, on the day the emergency regime ends.
Earlier, Prime Minister Ion Kiku said that the external isolation introduced since March 17 due to the global coronavirus pandemic will be lifted with the cancellation of the emergency. However, the difficult epidemiological situation in the country and the red hazard code stored in connection with this require an extension of restrictions.
“Regular international transport will be resumed gradually, depending on the epidemiological situation and the opening of borders by other countries,” the commission said in a decision.
In addition, during the specified period, a ban on the entry of foreign citizens into Moldova continues.
An exception is made for Moldovan relatives living abroad, as well as foreigners with long-term, work visas or residence permits, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations with family members.
