Cabinet increases administrative fines 50-60 times

The minimum penalty for violation of fire and technological safety requirements will increase 60 times from 8.5 UAH to 510 UAH, and the maximum from 170 UAH to 8500 UAH.

The decision was made today, January 29, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, according to the Telegram channel of Prime Minister Alexei Goncharuk.

In addition, fines for knowingly false calls to the police, ambulance or emergency services will increase significantly.. It will be from 3400 to 10 200 UAH.

Criminal liability for violation of technological safety requirements is also introduced, which led to an accident or other dangerous events with serious consequences.

The Cabinet reminds that so far the fine for violation of fire safety requirements ranged from UAH 8.

5 to UAH 119 for citizens, and from UAH 34 to 170 UAH for officials.

The government also plans to legislatively regulate the mandatory allocation of money in state and local budgets for fire safety in public and administrative buildings of educational institutions, health care and other.
