Defined champion of Wimbledon-2018

The tenth world racket Angelique Kerber won Wimbledon in 2018 in the women's singles, defeating Serena Williams, who currently occupies the 181st place in the world ranking.

The German won in two sets with a score of 6: 3, 6: 3. Kerber in this match four times took the American's serve, losing only one game on his serve.

Kerber won the third title in the Grand Slam tournaments in his career. In 2016, the German won the Australian Open and the US Open. In the same season, Kerber played in the final of Wimbledon, but then lost in the final Serena Williams. Kerber became the first German after Steffi Graf, who won Wimbledon. The last time Graf won on herbal major in 1996.

For Serena Williams it was the 30th final in a career in the Grand Slam tournaments. On her account 23 titles, seven of which were won just at Wimbledon.



Next week Kerber will become the fourth racket of the world, and Serena Williams will rise to the 28th place in the world ranking.

Almost all of the past and the beginning of this season, Serena Williams missed due to the birth of her daughter Alexis Olympia, which was born in early September of 2017.

In the final of the men's singles, Wimbledon-2018 will be played by Serb Novak Djokovic and South African Kevin Anderson, who played the longest semi-final in the history of the tournament against American John Ezner.
