Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik, who is serving a 21-year sentence in Shien prison, announced his repentance. This is written by the newspaper VG referring to last year's letter to the leadership of the penitentiary institution.

He declared his desire to "leave the fascist, national-socialist and neo-Nazi ideology" and promised to observe prison regulations. "I regret the actions that took place on July 22, 2011, and if it were possible, would have done so that those events never happened," he wrote.

The interviewed psychiatrist explains that one should not trust such a statement. "It seems obvious that Breivik is trying to manipulate," said expert Henning Voroy.

The letter was written in the spring of 2017, shortly after Breivik demanded compensation through the court for his solitary confinement and lost.

July 22, 2011, the Norwegian committed two terrorist attacks. First, he set up an explosion in the government quarter of Oslo - killing eight people. After this, the offender went to the youth camp of the ruling Norwegian Workers' Party on the island of Utoya, where he shot 69 people.

The court sentenced Breivik to 21 years in prison - this is the maximum in Norway, but the term can be extended many times if the authorities find the prisoner still dangerous. The terrorist is contained in a three-room cell.
