According to intelligence workers, today in Boryspil airport detectives NABU and SAP prosecutors under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine detained the Odessa mayor and his deputy suspected of committing a crime.

It is noted that the name of the detained deputy Trukhanov. At present, all investigative and procedural actions are being carried out with all the suspects, the question of choosing a preventive measure.

According to law enforcement agencies, officials may be involved in a scheme to inflict damage to the local budget of Odessa.

In particular, in September 2016 the Odessa City Administration acquired from a private structure a building formerly owned by the State Enterprise "Krayan", for 185 million hryvnias. The structure itself in early 2016 acquired the building at auction for 11.

5 million hryvnia, and the means received from the mayor's office "seller" tried to list the fictitious company, whose leader is in the ATU zone.

As previously reported in "URA-Inform", the city head of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov was given suspicion. The border guards fulfilled the instructions of one of the law enforcement agencies, informed the initiator, after which the investigators of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine arrived, who handed him suspicion.
