34.3% of GDP France spends on health care - and this is more than any other EU country, according to the latest data of the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research of France.
Close to the French indicators are in Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria - there on health care spend more than 30%. And on the average for the EU this share is 28.7% of GDP, notes EuroPulse.
At the same time, life expectancy in France is not the largest in the EU - it is ahead of Spain and Italy. According to the statistical service of the EU Eurostat, in France the life expectancy is 82.4 years, in Spain 83 years, and in Italy 82.7 years.
