A veteran of the ATU from the Crimea Arslan Misiratov believes that Russian invaders could be expelled from the peninsula in a few months if there were no deterrence in the hope of a peaceful settlement.

This opinion he voiced in an interview with the publication Depo.

"When the occupation was just beginning, the Mejlis held us back, urged us not to start military operations. There was a hope that everything would be resolved peacefully. If we were not restrained, the war would be, but we would drive out the Russians in three to five months. They are not local, they did not know anything there, and we were at home, "says Misiratov.

He also adds that long before the occupation with the Crimean Tatars, training was conducted by the organization "Trident".

"They hardly knew anything, they just contacted, they trained. Of course, this would be if we were supported by the APU, but I think that they would not have been left out, "the soldier is sure.

As a whole, Misiratov views Russia's occupation of Crimea as a second deportation.

"More than forty years have passed before the first. How soon will this be over? If we were not restrained, then it would have come to an end. We would have won our Crimea, "he said..

In his opinion, Russian troops in the Crimea are not a real obstacle to liberation, and cites the example of 2014, when volunteers were sent to the Donbass with virtually unarmed.

"But we are restrained, they say that we need a peaceful way", - sums up Misiratov.
