To date, Ukrainians have increasingly abandoned expensive food, replacing them with cheaper alternatives, while retail sales in stores have increased: by 12.5 percent sales of seafood, cheese by 2 percent, confectionery products by 13.6 percent percent, vegetables - by 53.2 percent. However, such food products as caviar, olives, balyk began to appear less often on the tables of Ukrainian citizens.

However, there is a positive balance of consumption of bakery products.

At the same time, the residents of the capital decreased demand for milk and dairy products by three percent, oil consumption was reduced by eight and a half percent, and tea and coffee were reduced by three percent.

As reported in the "URA-Inform", earlier the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman said that in order to prevent the growth of prices for food in the country you need to saturate the domestic market with goods.
