In the city court of Minsk (Belarus) on Monday, December 18, began the trial of three employees of the propagandistic Russian Internet resource Regnum, who are accused of inciting ethnic hatred and illegal business activities. This is reported by Radio Liberty.
The report says that in the dock three Belarusian citizens - Yuri Pavlovets, Sergei Shiptenko and Dmitry Alimkin.
The Belarusian authorities believe that in their publications they questioned the independence of their state. In case of proof of their guilt, they face imprisonment for up to twelve years.
The editorial office of Regnum, in which they worked, categorically denies the charges brought against them.
It is also said that on Tuesday, December 19, a court session was scheduled, at which defendants and witnesses will be questioned.
