Today it has been exactly six months since the citizens of Ukraine freely enjoy the right of visa-free travel to the Schengen countries.

In total, since the beginning of the "visa-free travel" with the EU countries, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has issued 355 000 Ukrainian citizens who traveled using the advantages of a simplified system. At the same time, more than 128,000 Ukrainians used air travel for their travels, 227,000 of our compatriots traveled by car and railway, and a small number of citizens were sent through sea checkpoints. This was reported in the State Border Service.

In addition, we note that under the visa-free regime with the EU countries, most Ukrainians were sent across the border with Poland and Romania - almost 90,000 and 65,000 people, respectively. Note that on the whole the common border with the EU was crossed by 64% of "visa-free".

A certain "excitement" among those who wanted to travel without hindrance was observed in the first months of the "visa-free travel" - on average the border guards registered up to 80,000 Ukrainians per month. Now there is a decrease in the number of travelers in the visa-free order. In November this figure was 32.5 thousand people.

At the same time, the total number of trips of Ukrainian citizens to European countries during the three summer months of 2017 increased by 10% compared to the same three months of 2016.
