City officials asked the motorists of the Ural capital to avoid the passage of the central streets in the next two to three months. The request to the Ural motorists on behalf of the mayor's office was transferred by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Transport Sergey Yaskevich.

According to the official, after restricting traffic through the Makarov Bridge, the main detour of public transport will be carried out along the streets of Sverdlov, Boris Yeltsin and Lenin Avenue. Because of this, city streets can get into even bigger traffic jams than there are now.

"The passage through the intersections of 8 March - Lenin, Lenin - Karl Liebknecht, Sverdlov - Chelyuskintsev will lead to a significant increase in their load. In peak hours - even more than their potential throughput. We already now call motorists to choose detour routes that would help them not to get caught in a mash situation, "said Sergei Yaskevich.
