The court rejected the appeal of lawyers, leaving in effect the preventive measure established by the Pechersk District Court on July 15. According to the press service of the court, the court granted the request of the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention of a people's deputy until September 14, 2017 inclusive, with the definition of an alternative preventive measure in the form of a pledge of UAH 50 million.

Thus, based on the results of the appellate review, the panel of judges of the Trial Chamber for the review of criminal cases of the Court of Appeal of Kyiv decided to leave the decision of the Pechersk court unchanged, and leave the appellate complaint filed by the defense party in the interests of the suspect Dobkin.

At the same time, the lawyers of the politician asked the court to change the measure of restraint for a personal commitment. Dobkin himself said that he intends to apply to the European Court of Human Rights.
