The University of Civil Defense of Ukraine hosted the release of young specialists

242 lieutenants will continue their service in the divisions of the State Emergency Service.

Congratulation from the Chairman of the State Emergency Management Department of Ukraine Nikolay Chechetkin, the graduates and guests of the solemn event were handed over by the Deputy Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies Ruslan Beloshitsky.

"This day is the result of many years of work - both yours and your leaders, teachers, mentors and parents. A few years ago, deliberately making a choice in favor of an honorable cause - saving people, you abandoned the carefree life for the honorary duty to wear the proud name of a rescuer - an officer of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies, "said Ruslan Beloshitsky. - Work for the benefit of Ukraine so that we are proud of you and your professional achievements. Knowledge and skills obtained at the university will become a reliable foundation for the successful development of your professional skills, will help you to fulfill the tasks set in a qualitative and confident manner ".

With farewell wishes to the young officers, the university's rector Lieutenant-General of the Civil Protection Service Vladimir Sadkova addressed. He noted that the scientific and pedagogical staff of the educational institution made every effort to ensure that future specialists used the acquired knowledge in their professional activities so that each of them felt their own ability to apply their skills to solve practical problems within the units of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies.

"I wish you success in your future work, be worthy of the title of a graduate of the National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine," Vladimir Sadkova addressed young officers.

Graduates thanked the management and staff of the educational institution for their constant attention, support and care, gave a solemn oath of loyalty and devotion to the Ukrainian people and the chosen profession.

Among today's graduates was a fifth-year cadet of the Faculty of Technogenic and Ecological Safety Maxim Barabash. Six years ago, he saved the life of a year and a half Yegor Lopatin, who fell into a 15-meter well. Maxim Maxim Yegor is already unconscious. At the top, the adults helped the young man provide home care to the child and sent him to the hospital, where later little Egor finally recovered. In September 2012, a 16-year-old Nikolayev schoolboy Maxim Barabash was invited to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, where he received a reward for the saved life and became the "Hero of the Year". The fatal event became decisive:

a year later Maxim Barabash entered the National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine.

And on June 9, during the celebrations, seven-year-old Yegor Lopatin and his mother sincerely thanked Maxim Barabash for saving his life. Maxim gave Yegor his cadet shoulder straps with the hope that the baby will also choose the profession of a rescuer.

The ceremony of graduation was completed with the passage of a solemn march of the staff of the university.
