The number of flood victims in Sri Lanka exceeded 160 people

Another 104 people are missing. According to The Times of India, referring to the data of the local Center for Emergency Response, about 88 people were taken to hospitals with injuries of varying degrees.

About two thousand buildings have been damaged or completely destroyed in the country. However, the police said that in southern Sri Lanka, a Mi-17 helicopter crashed, which delivered humanitarian aid to flood victims.

The airplane crashed into a residential building. Fortunately, none of the peaceful citizens suffered.

At the same time, weather forecasters warn that even more rain is expected in the country today and tomorrow, which can hinder the rescue operations.

Recall that in Sri Lanka for several days the strongest in 14 years of downpour.

As reported URA-Inform, as a result of a natural disaster, 442.3 thousand people were injured. About 500 people left their homes.
